Hello Golf Geeks!!
I am a advid/obsessed golfer looking for players to form a network of pre-pros or pre-amateur CPGA to play around my level. That means, players that like to exchange ideas, network around the study of golf, and are honest players that play by the rules. I like to document my game and always looking for ways to get better. I am currently playing in the 90s and this year I am fully determined to play in the 80s...and next year in the 70s. I have being reading and practicing my short game throughout the winter and TOTALLY obsessed to improvement. I read a lot of books, videos, and envision shots in my head. I am hungrey for winning and would like to have "like-minded" players as well to bounce ideas off of and myself to help them. I usually play with my brothers and they are pretty good, but looking to surpass them this year and leave them in the dust :)
About me:
I am a financial advisor and detailed oriented person. I like to play Tennis as well but Golf is primary above everything ...and sometimes above my girlfriend.
Books and Videos
i usually read Ben Hogan, Adam Scott, Bobby Jones and Tiger Woods' books and videos...not to say i am a "Tiger wannabe" but I truly love this game!
Rules and Respect for the Game
I usually play by the rules. Not every single rule in golf but 99% of them. For example: if we hit in the water, we only take 1 stroke penalty instead of 2 strokes.
We don't get drunk on the course ever ...or smoke weed ...that is not acceptable. Drinking beer is fine but with limitations. I don't do drugs and expect my fellow players' (friends) to respect the other players and keep that for after the game.
Courses
We usually play around Toronto ie: Uplands, Rolling Hills, Richmond Hill, Tam O'Shanter, Don valley and Dentonia Pk.
Tournament
My brothers and I formed a championship playoff and it's documented and the games are 3 par 72s or 3 par 70s and if there is a playoff, the last 2 plays 3 games of their choice.
Betting
it has to be determined by the group with a consensus of all players.
