Extreme Toronto Sports Club (XTSC)

Extreme Toronto Sports Club was started in 2004 by ‘Toronto sports enthusiasts’ who decided they could create a better league than the ones they had played in.

Compared to many other Toronto sports leagues, XTSC differs by offering refereed games, consistent game locations and a loyalty program. Sports are offered year round. The league is a not-for-profit organization.

  1. We played rec co-ed soccer at Lamport w/ XTSC. Great field to play to at. Refs were good – and allowed for some leeway for players who were fairly new to the sport (e.g. redo first improper throw-in). Times were excellent (6:30 or 7:30 games). Most teams were great to play against – with few issues (although no-show teams seemed to be an issue by the end of the season). So, on-field, can’t complain. The administration, however, needs some work. The website is outdated (although usable), but the schedule you’re given changes all the time – and usually isn’t provided for the entire season. You have to double-check your schedule every week, as it can change (and often does). Overall, I like XTSC but they have to do better on the administration side.

I cannot begin to state the way we were treated by this company. Unprofessional, uncoordinated, vague, irresponsible, shoddy, negligent and so much more. We signed up 3 season in a row and this time we signed up for their new field “Central Tech Park” To start with, there were only 3 teams in the entire league! After constant emails and phone calls, they finally put together a bunch of professional level players on a team and made them play against us! Their website was never updated with right schedules and scores and we had to email them personally to ask what is going on. After all this, towards the end, we were just shut down when we tried to voice out their unfair treatment on the playoff scenario. We used to like XTSC but this experience and their rigid behavior has dented their image for our team. We will NEVER sign up with you guys ever again!!

It’s pretty obvious that recent comments on this page are a result of XTSC trying enhance their rapport. The evidence already justifies itself with the a poor rating (1.7 out of 5)lmfao. Though TSSC and Not So Pro ain’t perfect, at least they have the customer service and wherewithal to treat people with respect.

A recreational league with reasonable pricing, good fields to play on and referees? Sounds great no? We’ll you get what you pay for guys! I played xtsc soccer last year. And I can give a 2 star rating, one star for the fields and referees 1 star for the prices however the customer service is absolutely terrible and the front desk lady (I believe her name is Michelle) needs to take a year long course of a class involving customer service , she’s rude and inconsiderate doesn’t reply to all emails as every other league does and clearly doesn’t do schedules properly as we had random cancellations and double headers. The captain of my team has complained about her numerous times and judging by the reviews on here and yelp I am not the only one. It has potential to be a great league but if Michelle continues her ways then it’s going to go to shits..get your shit together guys!

I’ve been playing in this league for years. It is ok. It is reasonably priced and almost always near a subway. Most of the teams we play against are pretty friendly and decent people. The refs are ok, the field is pretty bad, the gyms are ok. The administration is not great. I’ve also had bad experiences with Sam the owner. I don’t like double headers. If you are looking for a place to play soccer on the regular and you live downtown, it is not bad.

I have been with XTSC for 5 years, was very disappointed about what happened last game. There was this crazy man named Sam (after the game I knew he was actually the owner of the league), we were leading the gaming by two nothing, and the first goal was stolen from Sam and he felt humiliated. then he started crying to ref, and made a lot of physical contact and bad swears to both our players and the ref, surprisingly, the ref didn’t do anything to control him, which made more sense when I knew he was just an employee of Sam. And in the second half, the ref give them tons of free kicks inside or near the box, from what I saw was very normal body contact, basically whenever Sam cried, the ref would call it. so what’s the point of the game? we spend thousand dollars to let him enjoy? we will DEFINITELY switch to some other league after this season, hope that man could still find enough ppl to make him enjoy. Enough for us. and btw, that man doesn’t even know how to play soccer, he sucks.

LOL Yes I agree. I played with XTSC and the owner Sam is such a sore loser with a mind of a 10 year old boy in the body of a 50 year old. It so unfair when he the owner stacks his teams always wins the leagues. That is why I left the corrupt XTSC after playing for 2 years.

The absolute worst league I have ever been in. Do not, I repeat, do not, join this league.

There is clear and blatant favouritism for certain teams that are friends with the refs. Do the referees or anyone in management know the definition of collusion? if not, I can pick them up a dictionary.

Michele is useless – absolutely useless. Typical keyboard warrior that likes to quote the rule book as if any of those rules are actually enforced by the incompetent referees. How about you monitor teams using illegal players? ie. players from the game prior – yes, this actually happened.

Definitely last year we’ll be playing in this p!ss poor excuse of a league.

I have played indoor and outdoor soccer with XTSC for 3 years now and have recently switched to Downsview park league at the Hangar and here are my thoughts:
-XTSC hands down has the worst referees, organization and equipment I have ever seen
-Many times we were forced to bring our own balls for the games as they didn’t have any
-Rules seemed to change from game to game at the ref’s discretion
-Refs were constantly texting and on cell phones and not even paying attention to the games
-Ringers played all the time and teams were not penalized

Need I say more?! I haven’t run into any of these problems at downsview. The refs are more knowledgeable and professional and actually take charge of the game rather than making calls depending on who complains. The league is well organized with set rosters, no ringers allowed, and consistent rules enforced. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH XTSC.

I’ve been with them for 3 seasons and enough is enough. They are the worst league in Toronto for soccer or any sports for that matter. They never issue refunds and always blame their customers for everything that goes wrong. In fact, they publicly call out customers in online reviews and insult them. If there aren’t enough teams signed up for a league, they will not let you know unless you message them first and ask what is going on. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure your money paid transfers you to another one of their leagues in another day or level.

Where do I start with how bad this league is?

First, all their referees are part time students who are not certified and don’t want to be there; they couldn’t care any less. They spend most of their time talking or texting on their cellphones and walking around slowly like turtles which makes them miss major calls during the games (throw-ins, corners, etc..). They let fights get way out of hand and stand on the side instead of stepping in to control the game. I have seen only once in my 3 seasons, a yellow card being issued and even then it was a questionable decision because it was given to both teams. As a result of the referee incompetence, lots of players get away with excessive abuse, force and tackles making it NOT a recreational league. One time the referee showed up 50 minutes late to the game and didn’t even say anything until we spotted him. The guy was standing in the corner with a stupid smile on his face.

There have also been several times when the other team doesn’t show up to play last minute and it is a giant pain when you have people coming in from Pickering, Etobicoke, Richmond Hill… etc. You pay roughly about a grand or more depending on what league you pick, and you get absolutely zero customer service. Expect nothing.

All the pitches for outdoors and indoor gyms are terrible. For Fall / Winter, they tell you that the gyms are located near the subway downtown. However once you sign up you will find them to be on average 15-20 min walk away from the subway station with scarce bus service to access them. During the spring and summer, most of their outdoor pitches are worn out and have huge holes / bumps everywhere which would result in ankle injuries due to the constant uneven surface. The goals they provide have holes in the nets, many of the posts are not straight either so one side is sometimes higher than the other. (We had one goal given against us where the ball went in from a hole on the side of the net, this only happens in XTSC).

Lastly, the owner likes to stack up his teams. If you ever have the fortunate chance to play them in any of the leagues you will find that he recruits the very best players and lets them play for free in his team. They will get most decisions going their way and they usually win their leagues as a result winning their own trophies and prizes. Pathetic.

In the grand scheme of things, it is only a bit cheaper than the other leagues in Toronto. I would rather spend more and join somewhere and play peacefully.

This isn’t UEFA Champions League, it is recreational soccer in CANADA where you PAY to play. However, most of the players here always have something to prove.

Usually play with TSSC but have played a few seasons here and there with XTSC.

We had our first dealing with the XTSC league after a violent situation recently (assault and property damage) and their response was completely unacceptable.

I witnessed the incident and tried to call them (no response) then emailed and was told that they only speak to captains. I was a witness of the violent incident and am also a paying customer, so I believe that if I have major safety concerns, someone should at least listen to them. The response was rude and clearly showed that a minimal investigation was conducted and that they would not consider information from the individuals or witnesses. Speaking with the referees, they are fully aware of problem players and there is certainly a disconnect between the referees and the people who run the league.

I strongly recommend playing with another organized sports provider instead. XTSC clearly don’t have any interest in safety or fair play. Just simply taking your money and trying to avoid players.

October 26, 2014 – 9:33am — physically attacked on XTSC pitch (non member)

XTSC is one of the worst run leagues with very rude and unprofessional owners and staff. I would advise people to think twice before signing up.

We signed up for coed soccer with referees. The referees are also players on teams in the same league, which is a complete conflict of interest. It is also quite evident that most of the teams in the league are friends with each other and the referees making it difficult to make fair calls.

Most recently we played a highly aggressive team who took their attacks to extreme levels. Players on the team injured our captain twice during the game. The team spent most of the game complaining and verbally attacking our players who remained quiet for most of the game. At one point during a play a female player was unintentionally tripped by me. This is not uncommon in a sport such as soccer. Her reaction was extreme, calling me names and then when the referee wasn’t looking coming up on me from behind and pushing me to the ground.
Verbal attacks continued throughout the game and quite frankly our team was fed up with playing, some of our players left the field because they didn’t want to continue.

At the end of the game, fed up with the aggression throughout the game , I threw what was left of my water onto the female players shirt. Argue if you will on that response to being verbally and physically bullied the entire game; but this did not warrant what happened next. The female team member lunged at me pulling me by my hair towards her with one hand and digging into neck with her nails, drawing blood and leaving deep scars in my skin. The referee did nothing to stop the attack and blatantly tried to act like nothing was happening. My reaction to this was to walk away and leave the field. I have no interest in participating in physical violence of any kind, especially during a recreational soccer game. The way we were treated during the game felt like something you would experience on King west at a bar, hair pulling, pushing, insulting and scratching. Give me a break.

The best part of this is the way the league administration handled the situation. Their website clearly states the following:

“Physical Violence towards people: the threat of physical violence, or implied physical violence will result in immediate ejection from the league. This applies if you start the conflict or decide to end the conflict with violence. Maintain self-control, walk away!”

The league is suggesting that if the referee didn’t see an attack then it didn’t happen, regardless of photographs of the deep wounds to my neck. The administration actually used the words “alleged attack” to describe a situation that took place in the middle of the field with several teams playing and the referee 3 feet away.

I have asked for my money back and after reading other reviews I am sure nothing will be done to address this situation. I have no interest in playing in a league where I do not feel safe to play without being physically attacked.

I strongly advise others to avoid this league at all costs. It’s not worth the few dollars you save. There are other leagues where conduct such as this would be unacceptable, and the victim of the attack would not be treated like the bad guy in the situation.

Contrary to claims on this comment thread that sportaholik.com is a front for TSSC to slander XTSC, as a neutral Toronto local who has played soccer in both leagues, I will add my voice to the growing consensus that XTSC is the worst league you can choose. I highly recommend you sign up for any league other than XTSC.

I have a litany of issues and complaints with XTSC.

Let’s start with the referees. They are usually late getting the same started, even though the time allotted for games is only 50 minutes. At the Jesse Ketchum field where I played this summer, the refs were usually late for the 6pm start time. By the time they arrived, unpacked the nets, and set them up, it was common to start 10 minutes late. It was also common for the referees to make terrible calls and allow games to get out of hand. In fact, it was much more likely for the refs to be standing around texting on their iPhone than actually running around the field officiating the game. For a league that charges over $2,500 per season to play in sub-par fields and facilities, the least they can do is start the games on time and hire competent refs.

Let’s move onto an even more egregious failure on XTSC’s part. This summer, I signed up my team for the joint spring/summer league at Jesse Ketchum. However, near the end of the spring season, I was blindsided by XSTC. Apparently, they had inadvertently signed up too many teams for the summer season and couldn’t make the schedule work. So, I was told—TOLD, not asked—that my team was to be removed from the summer season. It’s not like my team has, you know, lives and families and jobs, and went through the process of choosing a league, day, location, and game time(s) that best suited our schedules… and then paid $2600 to play in that league. Nope, XTSC doesn’t give a shit about that. After accepting our money, they said we couldn’t play in the league we signed up for and gave us a number of untenable options at different locations and on different nights.

You can understand that I didn’t appreciate being arbitrarily kicked out of the co-ed soccer league my team had paid to play in, so I wrote to League Manager Michele that this was unacceptable. But apparently, I was out of line in saying that this was completely unreasonable and arbitrary. XTSC essentially gave us the ultimatum of either switching leagues/nights/locations or simply not playing for the summer season. After working with my teammates to juggle our schedules and agree on a different game night, XTSC then refused to allow us to play in the alternative summer league for free… even though they had arbitrarily kicked us out of the league we had signed up for, presented us with a number of untenable options, and then insisted it was our fault and that I was out of line for pointing out that there is something wrong with this.

As a “compromise”, XTSC offered my team free jerseys (which we took, but were provided with a different colour than what we asked for) and a ball (which was quickly lost because the Jesse Ketchum field is shit and a ball is lost at least once every 3 games).

The entire experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, and out of principle I will not be signing up for any XTSC league in the future.
I would also note that the League Manager showed nothing but incompetence throughout this process. Michele really needs to work on her customer relations, communications and email correspondence skills. With a League Manager like that, it’s not hard to believe that XTSC has received such poor reviews.

Stay away from XTSC at all costs. You’re better off playing pick-up with your friends at the park. Save yourself some money and make sure your money isn’t going to a bunch of incompetent staff who don’t give a shit about their customers.

Not to mention the 100+ positive posts that they deleted over the last 10 years to present messed up and skewed “reviews” .. Sam Selim (XTSC owner) has posted this – along with many other posts that either are fake positive reviews (scroll down for where they copy/pasted ‘reviews’ from their website under different names!) or comments that disparage other commenters. The league continually says that these reviews don’t hurt business but are adamant about slinging mud back – and posting fake reviews. Is this a league you want to play in?

XTSC is by far the most poorly managed league in the city. We registered for the Winter / Spring indoor volleyball. They changed the format of the Spring session to a round robin where we play for 3 hours and have to ref the other games. Secondly, when provided with the change in format, we raised our concerns and were told “Too Bad”. I highly recommend staying away from the XTSC.

    Anonymous’s picture April 29, 2014 – 4:59pm — Anonymous

Yes Sean .. we know you’re unhappy with XTSC for tryimng to give you 2 Hours of Volleyball play for the price of one hour .. We even offered to scheduled your team to play for one hour every week from 7:00PM to 8:00PM and then go home .. which you initially accepted and then came back and said No No No .. I do want to play for 2 hours even though I only paid for one hour of Play!!! So we let you play in our 2 Hour Round Robin League .. but that wasn’t good enough .. you complained some more .. So what is it you want Sean??? 1 Hour of Play or 2 Hours of Play? or do you just want to bitch and complain to all that would listen because you have no other purpose in life!!! You sir are a persono non-grada and a menace to all sports and all leagues everywhere!!!!

I was deciding to join a volleyball league and trying to decide which one. Clearly a business run by people who demonstrate behaviour akin to road rage or a temper tantrum is not something a busy professional has time or patience to deal with. Thank you for your comments.

    May 17, 2014 – 2:11pm — past xtsc customer (non member)

Yes…our team had the same experience. The xtsc owner was playing opposite us and the ref was clearly biased against us. When their team was finally called on a foul the owner went stark raving mad and had a temper tantrum at his own staff and later at his team in the hallway. One gal on his team got yelled at countless times….not sure why she stayed as we all wanted to punch him in the face. Poor leadership on and off the field from what we saw.

.. I acutaly went against all these awful reviews and signed up … here i am angry that I had… I usually play volleyball a different league but it was full . First I never received any emails about what team id be on and where my first game was … the week before my original start date I called and spoke to the front desk she said I wasn’t put on the email list which was “weird” then i still didn’t get an email back I called the day of the start date .. the date had been moved back 2 weeks (lack of participants) then I get an email the day of the next start saying that the league had been cancelled because no one joined lol… Ive been battleing for a month now for my refund … reception just never emails me back or does with some excuse “the next league hast to start for you to get it”. ” It will be the nd of this week” ” We had to push it to next week” ” Sorry I have to speak to a co-worker I’ll get back to you ” . I email every couple days for updates and then the day of the expected refund comes and I get nothing nor a reply 90% of the time … Today was the day I was ABSOLUTELY supposed to get my refund and guess what .. MICHELE ( front desk) never emailed me back after I spoke to her yesterday evening .

I am currently filing a dispute claim through master card …. in conclusion … this league was a huggeeee waste of time lol …

XTSC league management are awful. Random double headers, wrong player assignment for individual teams, rule changes on the field and not knowing the length of the season. If you like being kept on your toes and drama, then this is the place to be. If you are sane, spend your money on another league and don’t sign up – ever.

    January 4, 2014 – 7:34pm — Abby Wambach (non member)

Of all the rhetoric on this page, this seems like a lot of unhappy customers venting. And also the League acting like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum.

You people are all pathetic. The League clearly keeps going, as these attacks do nothing to harm the League.

The only way this league changes is if you stop giving it your money. The more people keep going back because they are too lazy to look for alternatives, the band plays on.

Either get friends and other teams/people to go somewhere else, start your own sports league or STFU, pay your money and bitch to your friends over pints after games.

The league offers decent offerings, is fairly inexpensive, and has some great spots, as compared to other Leagues.

But you have the LAZIEST referees I have ever seen. Who keeps time on a cell phone?

    December 13, 2013 – 12:48am — Anon (non member)

I think when you look at all the negative comments and reviews out here, your management team needs to take a deep look at your customer service strategy and think twice about how you have treated people. Time and time again everyone is saying the same thing and you’re administration is just going ultra defensive and attacking people expressing their opinions here. Denial is the first step, but you’ve all gone well beyond that. Your business model is pathetic and word of mouth is a very effective tool in establishing a reputation, something xtsc clearly does not have. I don’t see you guys surviving in the next 5 years. 100% real nets can only take you so far.

Sam, the owner, is known to be repulsive, psychotic and completely delusional. Take some anger management and customer relations lessons and stay off the pitch.

    November 28, 2013 – 11:22pm — Snazzy B (non member)

This was the first rec league I’ve tried and it was a complete disaster. The league started several weeks late because of permit issues and games got cancelled for weeks with only 1 day notice. The referees just chill in the corner and could care less about the game. Too many Ronaldo wannabes taking really powerful shots at the opposing teams and injuring players. The goal nets suck since they’re not even straight or stable half the time.

The owner’s team always gets favors and calls going their way. Not to mention they taunt and make fun of their opponents like school children in junior high. Extremely unprofessional and pathetic. There’s a reason why there are hardly any teams playing on certain days. No one wants to so up here.

There is no customer service and games get rescheduled to inconvenient times. The location selected was nowhere close to the subway stations as advertised.

Basically, you get what you pay for. You pay less and you have a horrible experience. Go join any other league.

    October 17, 2013 – 11:56am — vballgirl (non member)

XTSC puts no value in customer service and poor execution of administration and league set-up is an understatement. Been with them 3 seasons and none of them panned out as per their claims or rules via their website. Problems included:

    a) Gym permit was not properly attained and teams were not notified AT ALL. We showed up the first week and were sent home because XTSC did not have the permit for the gym and the league was delayed by one week while the other tier’s gym started already. As such, the tiers were not playing in sync (one gym was one week ahead of the other)and team points and playoffs were all messed up.

    b) Unresponsive to client inquiries, or worse, responded with rudely with sarcastic, demeaning and unapologetic comments. Did not address inquiry or concern and made it clear that they did not care to rectify any errors.

    c) Late or incorrect score updates, team points, etc. (hence related to A and B, where schedules became messed up and furious customers get no response or rude responses)

    d) Terrible equipment. They claim they have it ready for you and it is set up – however the nets are not the proper volleyball nets (some knock-off badminton net), no antennas and inadequate poles are used where nets are not at proper height.

Overall, a very low-level, uncompetitive, unorganized and non-customer friendly league. They boast about “2 hour playtime for cheap”, however it comes with all the aformentioned negative experience. Do not join this league – it is not worth the miserable play and frustration. Money better spent elsewhere.

Great value league but horrible customer service (mainly the owner Sam) and there appears to be favourability for the owner’s team. If you value customer service and fairness, play in another league but if you want to play at a lower cost, join xtsc.

Agree with the value xtsc offers but if there’s ANY customer service you need, good luck having to deal with the league owner Sam Selim who is a 12 year old trapped in an old man’s body.

Very well put great value for money but fairness and customer service (from the owner in particular) is poor when playing against his team he shouts and intimidates the referees until he gets his way. If you don’t care about things like that and only want to pay less join xtsc.

    June 15, 2013 – 2:00pm — James (non member)

Frank, most of the smear campaign comes direct from XTSC. TSSC is very professional and only respond in kind to all postings on this site.

XTSC, as you can see, blame everyone for their mistakes, blame the customer and spam other pages trying to change perceptions. And failing horribly.

    But to each their own.

    January 24, 2013 – 3:30pm — For as many haters and trolls….. (non member)

XTSC continues to go strong. Clearly this smear campaign brought on by disgruntled former employees (or just one, and I know who you are) is laughable.

People I have spoken too through out the League, who joined for the first time, have raved about how well we have done, and how their perceptions of us from this site actually spurred them to try us. I thank you all.

Hmmm I wonder who has rave about the league the admins or the
copy and paste quotes LOL. And your are telling us that peoples perceptions from this site made them try your league…. Wow that is sooooo true lol.

The posts about the negatives is acutally true because of the defensiveness this pathetic XTSC admin says.

    December 4, 2012 – 3:51pm — Allan (non member)

Wow, I was looking to join a nice competitive ball hockey league…
But the unprofessionalism and mediation on this board by the admin is truly shocking.
It’s like it’s run by someone who barely finished highschool and the kind of jerk who slashes your shins and wrist at a road hockey game, and then insults you.

Look in the mirror, and grow up. Hire someone to respect people’s opinions.

And you said ” All of the people coming on here and putting in their opinions, of which no one has asked for, are sad.” Actually, it’s a message board, where people do some to get opinions. You can’t even comprehend the purpose of this entire message board.

Good lord, I shutter for our future.

Why the hell will no one return any or my inquiries??

I’m trying to find out information about your soccer and ultimate frisbee and all emails go unanswered.

Jesus, get your heads out of your ass and answer your customers.

We handle 100% of our customer inquiries via Email (info@xtsc.ca) we no longer even list our phone# on our website – But judging by your tone and language .. You’re not the type of person we’d want playing with XTSC anyways!

Have fun playing with TCSSC 🙂

HAHA! It took you 2 months to respond, and it wasn’t even by email.

Your a joke of an organization, and you most likely don’t have a phone number due to the amount of complaints you must get at your email address.

    September 22, 2012 – 12:50am — BooooHooooo (non member)

What’s wrong ya tool? Still trying to get defensive I see. It’s so funny how this goof of an representative is embarrasing himself. Maybe the reason why your crappy organization is not putting a company number is because you are scared to deal with so many complaints you guys recieve LOL.

Keep trying to embarass your organization while your rating drops hehe.

I was interested in joining this league however after reading all these posts, I am incredibly disgusted with the way the staff and organizers are treating their customers. The customers are indeed being rude and quite harsh but the responses I am reading are simply disturbing. You’re calling your customers ‘cowards’, accusing them of ‘working for the competition’ and trying to destroy the league and worst of all “Please do us all a favor and go elsewhere, play with TCSSC, play with Not-So-Pro or not play at all .. you are master of your domain and we certainly won’t miss your money or your abuse on and off the field”. This is beyond disgusting; how can you speak with your customers this way? Do you really think this will help you attract more members? This is your league and you do whatever you wish however, for me, it wasn’t the negative comments that disturbed me, it was the responses from the league staff. Rather than mediating and providing a decent answer, they simply attack. I understand everyone has their one experience with the league and I take those posts with a grain of salt, however, the responses bother me so much that I will never ever sign up for this league; and I know you guys don’t want my business anyway because that’s what you told the previous member. I am just looking around for a league and came across this forum so I am providing you with feedback on how your presence looks on this forum from my perspective. Good luck with everything; I am sure you are all great guys, but this forum is destroying your reputation and deterring new customers away.

    May 5, 2012 – 1:53pm — XTSC Insider (non member)

Not sure what your guys agenda is exactly .. Clearly this is some sort of propaganda put on by some TCSSC organizers .. who clearly have nothing better to do then attempt to discredit XTSC .. Perhaps losing 100+ teams to XTSC over the years has afforded them tons of free time to post on this silly site instead of actually spending their time running and attracting new teams to their league?

Check out the Facebook posts .. posted buy real prople who actually play in our league .. http://www.facebook.com/groups/28859608059/

Including our own post announcing a record 2012 Spring season registrations .. Clearly your posts and negative publicity and the books that you yahoos are attempting to write on this unmonitored site are falling on deaf ears .. and our better offering and differentiators are wstill winning teams over from that bush league TCSSC league!

XTSC is an awful league. Sam is an awful person. No amount of testimonial will change that. XTSC sucks. Just sucks.

    May 7, 2012 – 2:38am — Canvballstar (non member)

Eddie is right. XTSC`s overall defensive mentality is such joke that the more they defend themselves, the more they think it is helping their cause LMFAO! This isn`t some proaganda you tool, it`s someones valid opinion on the rudeness of your posts. Get your head out of your ass and quit crying because some people on your site doesn`t like your league. If more people are joining your league (100+ teams)you shouldn`t even care about the opinions about a small number of posts.

    May 8, 2012 – 10:19am — XTSC Insider (non member)

And why would someone who doesn’t have any relation to XTSC care about putting their 2 cents in?

You sir need to get a life. All of the people coming on here and putting in their opinions, of which no one has asked for, are sad.

We continue to grow the league, and the sabotage that is being attempted by you rogues is quite laughable. Please do us all a favor and go away. Just stick to your own sad lives, and playing in your sad leagues, jealous much? 🙂

    November 25, 2013 – 1:10am — Anonymous

you idiot. did it ever occur to you that people are coming here to complain of the owners behaviour and how the league sucks? instead you think they’re smear campains. and jealous of what? you have little person syndrome (look it up, it’s real). that much is evident both in your personal and proffessional behaviour. and no, you can’t tell people to go away seeing as you don’t own this site of the internet. so fuck yourself.

    May 10, 2012 – 1:15pm — Are you a tool? (non member)

Why would I want to have any relation with XTSC when the evidence on this board justifies it?

Who are you to say I can’t express my opinion when the purpose of this page is to do so. Is there a problem with other individuals posting their thoughts about your unprofessional league and warning viewers not to join it?

It’s not sabatoging you goof, it’s others posting their expereiences on the flaws your league has. You do know that the more you post the more of an idiot you are in representation of your league.

Why don’t you try adding different quotes next time then copying and pasting in on here LMFAO!

    April 3, 2012 – 12:37pm — Leo (non member)

I have played on XTSC for 2 years now. At the same time I have also played on TSSC and TRSL. At first I was drawn to certain unique features the XTSC offered:

    – Lower league fees
    -Same location every game
    – Refereed games

Our first season was quite good and it was smooth sailing, but as time went on, I realized that everytime one needed to interface with the league organisers or had a chance to test their customer service, XTSC failed. Also they are unapproachable, disorganized and quite rash in their decision making.

    – Teams were not assigned to their playing location of choice.

-On more than one occasion, our team was assigned to multiple playing locations. This is in direct conflict with one of their selling features.

-League does not even have a phone number to call and get someone on the line to answer questions.

    – The referees are rude, disengaged and rarely keep a handle on the game. If anything the presence of referees encourages players to play more aggressively and try to get away with it. Players on my team have dislocated their knee, got stiches on their lip. All due to overly agressive play which escalated from the referee being too passive throughout the game.

-One season, players had parked their cars on XTSC approved parking areas(communicated to us via email from the league), however this had not been properly researched. After one game, all 36 cars had been ticketed($40 each) and all the league could do was shrug and say OOPS!

    – The actual XTSC organiser plays in the same league. God forbid you have been assigned to play in their bracket. If you actually have the misfortune of playing against the organiser’s team(personal expereince) – refereeing becomes very partial, games get unpleasant and aggressive. The organiser steps in and makes decisions on games which directly affect the progress of his personal team.

    – I have heard of teams being disqualified by the league organiser without just reason. First an second hand, I have noticed the league organiser being quite autocratic and dismissive in his interaction with his customers. There is not way to call XTSC and emails to them get answered in a very selective manner.

    I could go on.

Needless to say, in spite of whatever benefits XTSC claims they offer in the opinion of myself and over a dozen players(all young professionals) on our roster, its NOT WORTH IT. Customer service is poor, the league is run in a very unprofessional manner and organizational skills are quite pathetic.
Really leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Now after 2 years of giving this league a chance, all of us have decided to take our business and patience elsewhere. The other leagues are not perfect, but at least they have the basics right and know how to run themselves as an impartial business. TSSC, TRSL or anywhere but XTSC!

    April 4, 2012 – 5:52pm — XTSC Insider (non member)

If much of what you’re saying is true .. then how can you explain the dozens of teams that have left TCSSC to play with XTSC? I tell you why, it’s because:
    – We’re cheaper and better
    – Our referees Set-up all the nets and fields before every game
    – We provide same game locations in 80% of our leagues
    – We have a Free end of season tournament
    – we offer a rewards program

    That’s Why!

We’re not for everybody, and we certainly don’t want just anybody playing in our league .. Needy, annoying, rude, aggressive, dangerous players are ignored and eventually weeded out of our league. Not really sure who you are but perhaps you or your team are persona non grata and the league is working on weeding you out?

Please do us all a favor and go elsewhere, play with TCSSC, play with Not-So-Pro or not play at all .. you are master of your domain and we certainly won’t miss your money or your abuse on and off the field.

You’ve really learned nothing, have you? I suppose the author of this piece (potentially helpful to the development of your customer services skills) is just jealous of XTSC’s reputation, even though you do exactly the opposite:

If someone was to ask me what the personifcation of “chip on shoulder”, “myopic” and “cuts nose off to spite face” was, I would direct them to your comments on this page. Employees at your organisation must despair at just how bad your handling is of customer concerns. On the other hand, you might be a genius iconoclast paving the new way for the future of business…but I doubt it.

    April 24, 2012 – 7:40pm — XTSC Fanatic! (non member)

You are a gutless coward. You come onto this message board, to slander the League and to hide your identity while doing it.

The FACT that you are going around anonymously and saying these things, only means one thing. You work for TCSSC or Not So Pro and are deliberately trying to sabotage this League.

The FACT is that XTSC is FAR superior to your Leagues that we are getting all the teams that you have ripped off with your over priced and under delivered ‘offerings’.

Next time you wish to tell us how to run our organization, I suggest that you do it as a Man. And that you post your real name, or even better yet, contact the League directly with your concerns/issues. But your track record would indicate your spinless and a coward.

Enjoy your no good thievery of a League. We will gladly keep taking your teams and growing!

    November 25, 2013 – 1:15am — Anonymous

hahahaha mmmbop got u and you don’t even understand. you’re correct mr XTSC, we’re cowards. we’re insignificant people who could never run a league and win all the glorious soccer tournaments you’ve won. somewhere in life, things must’ve gotten pretty bad… for you to be seeking for glory/victory/gratification by doing this. were your parents not proud? sad.. but not really cuz you deserve it! anyway, the point is, stop talking. it isn’t one of your best qualities.

    February 2, 2012 – 10:29am — akay (non member)

I’ve played in I think 4 or 5 xtsc leagues now (to my chagrin). The upside is they have refs, which helps to minimize the onfield conflicts that put me off TSSC. However, 90% of the time the refs are stoned out of their minds (all class).

The first season we played was great, and it had about 7-8 teams in the bracket. Since then it’s become progressively worse.

Everything is disorganized, first games were posted with 24hrs advance notice. In the league I’m currently playing with them: they have my team playing one game more than all the other teams in the league, one of the teams that played the first week has completely disappeared from the schedule. Another team listed didn’t even play last weekend and yet the standings show they won a game 8-0.

The leagues rarely have enough teams in them. Our fall league had 4 teams. Because who doesn’t want to play the same 3 teams over and over and over again?

Then there was the time they told everyone that the only way to get game cancellation info was to follow them on twitter. Everyone has better sh*t to do than follow XTSC on twitter. When I let them know I thought i was a poorly thought out marketing ploy, they argued it was not done for marketing reasons. sure. (just checked, this resulted in them getting ~200 twitter followers, which in the land of twitter is seriously weak).

Then there was the time they told us we had to move our outdoor league to a tiny indoor gymnaisum, because they couldn’t predict what time the sun sets. hahahaahaaa, that one still makes me laugh pretty hard. They’re probably also members of the flat earth society.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT PLAYING WTIH XTSC. Chimps could do a better job of running a social sports league. OOO AA AAA!

Go with TSSC. In particular, I really enoy their 11s @ Sunnybrook park in the summer. Yes, they are a bit more expensive. Yes, they have some downside, and there’s always the possibility of carrying around your net. But at least they are professional and reliable. Always a good number of teams in the league and they communicate very effectively with players.

    September 15, 2011 – 1:56pm — disgruntled player (non member)

The owner of the league is a real JERK (i’d use more explicit words but don’t want to offend anyone). He changed the start times for games from 7,8 or 9pm to ALL 9:30 or 10:30pm starts! And did it all last minute, after he took our money, and after all other leaugues are full so you can’t get a refund and play somewhere else. Pretty slimey business practice. Called and asked for a discount because he changed the start times to be ALL LATE GAMES and he said “My time is worth more then this conversation with you”. Classy guy! PLEASE BOYCOTT THIS LEAGUE. TSSC is WAAAAAY better.

    July 11, 2011 – 4:38pm — Mikey S (non member)

While their prices are decent, there is (as always) a catch. I found the owner to be a little bad natured when dealing with me as a customer (trickled down thru an employee), which is why I went elsewhere and happily paid a little more. I’ve also heard of cases of competitive conflict of interest as it relates to a team he plays on, within his own league.

    October 14, 2009 – 1:23pm — James (non member)

I recently played in their year end Tournament and it was pretty awesome. I didn’t know they offered this until late in the year and there were like over 50 teams involved!! Very fun weekend for sure. The costs are lower than other leagues which is also a benefit and my team is playing with them again in the Fall/Winter.

    October 15, 2009 – 6:46am — freddie

Wow! You make it sound so good! Too good to be true, almost. I would suggest that leaving positive comments for your own league is bad practice.

Sorry to break it to you, but they don’t force their members to lug around nets and set them up at each location and take them down as well.

    Double bummer for you.

    September 8, 2008 – 7:35pm — j. (non member)

This league started well, but with its growing popularity, grew into a very poorly managed, bureaucratic, disappointing organization. Referees are only a positive feature when they are qualified and not out for glorified power trips to make up for high school inadequacies… I hung in there for a few seasons, but left, disgruntled.
